Lady Gaga is scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards this Sunday, and it has just been announced that she will open the show! It’s rumored that Elton John will be joining Lady Gaga on stage for a performance of a song from Gaga’s latest album.

*Lady Gaga and Beyoncé will be filming the music video for their latest single “Telephone” today in Los Angeles! The theme of the video is women in prison, and Tyrese Gibson has been chosen as the leading man!

Reportedly, the casting call was looking for a lot of prison inmates and Lady Gaga and Beyoncé body doubles. It’s also rumored that the director is Jonas Åkerlund and the video is a continuation of the “Paparazzi” short film.

Lady Gaga has thanked fans around the world after they helped her raise more than $500,000 for earthquake-ravaged Haiti – in a single day!

The singer dedicated 24 January to raising funds for the Caribbean country, pledging to donate proceeds from a New York concert and merchandise sold on her website.

And at her concert on Tuesday at Purdue University, where she concluded the U.S. leg of her Monster Ball Tour, Lady Gaga announced the results of her fans’ donations. She told the audience:

“On Gaga For Haiti day, in just 24 hours, with very minimal marketing and planning, all the little monsters all over the world made over half a million dollars for Haiti relief. I know Bravado fell off their chair, that’s who sells all my merchandise – they couldn’t believe it! So let’s sing along for Haiti right now!”

Another week, another milestone chart achievement for Lady Gaga!

The singer’s “Bad Romance” sets the record for most weekly plays registered in the 17-year history of Billboard’s Pop Songs radio airplay tally, as the cut logged 10,859 plays in the tracking week of January 11-17.

Airing on all 130 reporters monitored for the chart, “Bad Romance” received an average of 84 plays per station last week, or one spin every two hours on each panelist. “Bad Romance” reigns for a third week on Pop Songs, which, along with all Billboard charts, will be refreshed Thursday.

Lady Gaga’s smash passes the sum of 10,665 plays totaled by Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love” on the chart dated May 17, 2008. Here is a look at the titles that have notched the highest weekly plays totals on Pop Songs, a list that includes two tracks by Gaga:

Lady Gaga – Bad Romance (10,859)
Leona Lewis – Bleeding Love (10,665)

Oprah.com — In only 15 months, pop sensation Lady Gaga has become the hottest performer in music right now. She’s sold 8 million records, earned six Grammy nominations and became the first artist in history to have four number one hits on a debut album. But before the costumes and chart-toppers, there was New Yorker Stefanie Joanna Angelina Germanotta.

Stefanie studied classical piano beginning when she was just 4 years old. By the time she reached high school, she was writing her own songs and eventually started performing in local night clubs. Only a few years later, she said goodbye to Stefanie and Lady Gaga was born.

These days, Lady Gaga says she prefers to be addressed as just Gaga. “It feels weird when people call me Lady,” she says. “It’s so formal.”

The superstar says her moniker was inspired by “Radio Gaga,” the song by Queen. “It was just a nickname that my friends had for me in New York and my producer, and it kind of stuck with me,” she says. “It was nice having a space for myself where I could feel safe and not feel like such a freak all the time.”

There’s one person who took a little while to adjust to Lady Gaga’s new persona: her father. When he first saw his daughter perform, Lady Gaga says she was wearing a leopard G-string and an Indian headdress at a night club called Lady Starlight. “He just thought I was completely nuts. He didn’t get it,” she says. “I don’t know if I really got it. I just know I really wanted to do it and believed it in it. I think it was the nature of doing these sort of shock art pop cultural commentary pieces.”

Lady Gaga says she still can’t believe how her life has evolved. “I really feel so blessed, and every day I can’t believe the amazing fans I have,” she says. “I’m so lucky.”

During her rise to fame, Lady Gaga became known for her outrageous outfits, but she says they’re all designed to make a statement. At the MTV Video Music Awards, she wore a red lace one-piece that covered her face, with a crown-like hat. “That’s an Alexander McQueen, and I added the hat to it,” she says. “It was meant to be a continuation of the VMA performance. So after the princess had been murdered by the paparazzi, the red lace was meant to symbolize sort of my eternal martyrdom.”

Another headline-making costume was made entirely of Kermit the Frog puppets. “I don’t like to wear fur, so it was my way of making a comment about fur because it looks like a bunch of dead Muppets,” she says.

Lady Gaga says the inspiration for her outfits comes naturally. “I put a lot of time and effort into everything I do, to the point that I do nothing else,” she says. “I work creatively all day.”

Lady Gaga says a typical day is spent working nonstop. “I wake up in the morning and I get on my computer and I have lists of references and reference boards with all of my materials on them, and I basically call the House of Gaga all day and argue with them about what I want to do while they tell me, ‘You can’t do that,’” she says. “And I say, ‘Yes, I can bleed to death on domestic television if want to!’ So, for me, it’s all about being provocative, not just getting people’s attention. It’s about really saying something that affects people in a real way and a positive way.”

One the biggest statements she tries to make is about fame and the media. “All the things I do in terms of fame and the fame monster is meant to make it a bit easier to swallow this kind of horrific media world that we live in,” she says.

Despite her stardom, Lady Gaga says she doesn’t have many famous friends. “I don’t really have a tremendous connection to the celebrity world,” she says. “My friendships are really with my fans, and that’s how I really communicate. My vision is through them and through music.”

So what’s the message Lady Gaga wants to send to her fan base? “I want them to free themselves, and I want them to be proud of who they are,” she says. “I want them to celebrate all the things they don’t like about themselves the way that I did, and to be truly happy from the inside.”

When Lady Gaga was a little girl, she would sing along on her mini plastic tape recorder to Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper hits and get twirled in the air in daddy’s arms to the sounds of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. The precocious child would dance around the table at fancy Upper West Side restaurants using the breadsticks as a baton. And, she would innocently greet a new babysitter in nothing but her birthday suit.

It’s no wonder that little girl from a good Italian New York family, turned into the exhibitionist, multi-talented singer-songwriter with a flair for theatrics that she is today: Lady Gaga.

“I was always an entertainer. I was a ham as a little girl and I’m a ham today,” says Lady Gaga, 23, who made a name for herself on the Lower East Side club scene with the infectious dance-pop party song “Beautiful Dirty Rich,” and wild, theatrical, and often tongue-in-cheek “shock art” performances where Gaga – who designs and makes many of her stage outfits -- would strip down to her hand-crafted hot pants and bikini top, light cans of hairspray on fire, and strike a pose as a disco ball lowered from the ceiling to the orchestral sounds of A Clockwork Orange.

“I always loved rock and pop and theater. When I discovered Queen and David Bowie is when it really came together for me and I realized I could do all three,” says Gaga, who nicked her name from Queen’s song “Radio Gaga” and who cites rock star girlfriends, Peggy Bundy, and Donatella Versace as her fashion icons. “I look at those artists as icons in art. It’s not just about the music. It’s about the performance, the attitude, the look; it’s everything. And, that is where I live as an artist and that is what I want to accomplish.”

That goal might seem lofty, but consider the artist: Gaga is the girl who at age 4 learned piano by ear. By age 13, she had written her first piano ballad. At 14, she played open mike nights at clubs such as New York’s the Bitter End by night and was teased for her quirky, eccentric style by her Convent of the Sacred Heart School (the Manhattan private school Nicky and Paris Hilton attended) classmates by day. At age 17, she became was one of 20 kids in the world to get early admission to Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Signed by her 20^th birthday and writing songs for other artists (such as the Pussycat Dolls, and has been asked to write for a series of Interscope artists) before her debut album was even released, Lady Gaga has earned the right to reach for the sky.

“My goal as an artist is to funnel a pop record to a world in a very interesting way,” says Gaga, who wrote all of her lyrics, all of her melodies, and played most of the synth work on her album, The Fame(Streamline/KonLive/Cherrytree/Interscope). “I almost want to trick people into hanging with something that is really cool with a pop song. It’s almost like the spoonful of sugar and I’m the medicine.”

On The Fame, it’s as if Gaga took two parts dance-pop, one part electro-pop, and one part rock with a splash of disco and burlesque and generously poured it into the figurative martini glasses of the world in an effort to get everyone drunk with her Fame. “The Fame is about how anyone can feel famous,” she explains. “Pop culture is art. It doesn’t make you cool to hate pop culture, so I embraced it and you hear it all over The Fame. But, it’s a sharable fame. I want to invite you all to the party. I want people to feel a part of this lifestyle.”

The CD’s opener and first single, “Just Dance,” gets the dance floor rocking with it’s “fun, L.A., celebratory vibe.” As for the equally catchy, “Boys Boys Boys,” Gaga doesn’t mind wearing her influences on her sleeve. “I wanted to write the female version of Motley Crue’s ‘Girls Girls Girls,’ but with my own twist. I wanted to write a pop song that rockers would like.”

“Beautiful Dirty Rich” sums up her time of self-discovery, living in the Lower East Side and dabbling in drugs and the party scene. “That time, and that song, was just me trying to figure things out,” says Gaga. “Once I grabbed the reigns of my artistry, I fell in love with that more than I did with the party life.” On first listen, “Paparazzi” might come off as a love song to cameras, and in all honestly, Gaga jokes “on one level it IS about wooing the paparazzi and wanting fame. But, it’s not to be taken completely seriously. It’s about everyone’s obsession with that idea. But, it’s also about wanting a guy to love you and the struggle of whether you can have success or love or both.”

Gaga shows her passion for love songs on such softer tracks as the Queen-influenced “Brown Eyes” and the sweet kiss-off break-up song “Nothing I can Say (eh eh).” “‘Brown Eyes’ is the most vulnerable song on the album,” she explains. “‘Eh Eh’ is my simple pop song about finding someone new and breaking up with the old boyfriend.”

For the new tour for this album, fans will be treated to a more polished version of what they saw (and loved) at her critically acclaimed Lollapalooza show in August 2007 and Winter Music Conference performance in March 2008. “This new show is the couture version of my handmade downtown performance of the past few years. It’s more fine-tuned, but some of my favorite elements to my past shows – the disco balls, hot pants, sequin, and stilettos – will still be there. Just more fierce and more of a conceptual show with a vision for pop performance art.”

It’s been a while since a new pop artist has made her way in the music industry the old-fashioned/grass roots way by paying her dues with seedy club gigs and self-promotion. This is one rising pop star who hasn’t been plucked from a model casting call, born into a famous family, won a reality TV singing contest, or emerged from a teen cable TV sitcom. “I did this the way you are supposed to. I played every club in New York City and I bombed in every club and then killed it in every club and I found myself as an artist. I learned how to survive as an artist, get real, and how to fail and then figure out who I was as singer and performer. And, I worked hard.”

Gaga adds with a wink in her eye, “And, now, I’m just trying to change the world one sequin at a time.”

LADY GAGA announces "The Monster Ball"

International pop superstar Lady Gaga today announced plans for her next North American tour, entitled "The Monster Ball." The tour will begin on November 27 in Montreal, and will wind up on January 21, 2010 in Gaga's hometown, New York City. Kid Cudi will be the supporting act for the entire tour.

Says Lady Gaga, "The Haus of Gaga had been designing 'The Monster Ball' for premiere in 2010 at the O2 Arena in London, but due to diligent work and preparation, 'The Monster Ball' will begin on November 27 in Montreal. 'The Monster Ball' is a multimedia artistic experience in the style of the first-ever 'pop electro opera.'"

Lady Gaga will release a re-package of her breakthrough album, The Fame, called The Fame Monster, earlier that week, on November 23. The re-package will include eight brand new songs, including the club-banging first single "Bad Romance." Continues Lady Gaga, "A message to all my little monsters: The Fame Monster will come out four days before the first live show. You have exactly 96 hours to learn all of the lyrics so you can sing along. Dress accordingly."

hum...semalam aku g bawak ayah aku d klinik check dia demam...first2 dia x mau tapi akhirnya dia menyerah jugak selepsa dibebel oleh mak aku..ayah aku ni memang x mau jumpa doktor langsung,..x tau la knapa..hospital lagi la dia takut..ehm..pelik2..

ok, lepas lama menunggu, akhirnya ayah aku pon kena la check ngan doktor, n temperature dia punya la tinggi iaitu 40 darjah celcius..mak oii..tingginya..ni kena masuk wad ni...lepas 2 aku suruh doktor 2 check diabetes tapi dia x mau sebab dia kata ayah aku lepas makan...tapi aku paksa jugak da check tapi dia x mau jugak,,,geram aku ngan doktor 2...nnt aku tau l agak mcm mana tahap diabetes 2,,,hai, mcm la aku ni x belajar....x pa la, pas 2 aku kak aku, mak aku, n ayah aku pon pg la ke umah sepupu aku...diorang checkkan ayah aku punya kencing manis, n ya rabbi, tinggi nak mampus ye, 30!!! my god, kencing manis tahap apa ni...ehm , apa la nak jadi ngn ayah aku ni, dulu org nak bwk p klinik x mau, la ni dah teruk dah..

ehm, hari ni dah kena masuk wad dah..kami bawak dia p PuTra Medical Centre..dah kena check jantung, kidney , darah n so many more.....(*real time* nurse baru je tadi datang temperature dia still x turun ag, still 40 degrees

yeyeyye..esok raya..dah lama kita x dengar announcement kat tv kata esok raya kan...selalunya kita hanya akan dengar kata lusa raya..tahun ni kita amat bertuah kerana kita dapat dengar org announce ESOK RAYA!!!!

feel kalo org announce kat tv kata esok raya ni lain tau...dia lagi feel dari announce kata lusa raya..kalo lusa raya kita kena posa ag n kita dah mcm kurg feel..kalo org announce kata esok raya, kita bole la menjerit ka,bersorak ka n macam2 la bila dengar dia announce 2..hahaha

memandangkan esok raya, so aku pun baru ja lepas iron baju melayu aku..aku pakai baju melayu tahun lepas ja..x nak beli baju melayu tahun ni sebab membazir.pakainya sekali sekal aja...pas2 tadi aku dah tolong mak aku pasangkan langsir..lenguh la tangan dok sangkut langsir 2..dah la silap pasang la..dah siap2 pasang, kak aku yg baru baik dari kedai bgtau yg langsir yg kami hantung tu bukannya untuk tingkap 2, tu langsir untuk tingkap kat umah tingkat atas..alamak,pulak dah..tapi lantak la..matching ja aku rasa..kami pon decide kata x payah buang..pakai ja yang 2,,dah masing2 pon dah malas kan..hahahah

ok la, aku nak p tolong family aku p buh kuih raya ni..tahun ni semua kuih raya tunjuk ja,,ada la yang buat sikit2...ok..tatat

hum...esok merupakan last day kita sebagai umat islam diwajibkan berpuasa. x tau nak ckap gembira atau sedih,,,kalo gembira 2 sebab x sabar nak sambut hari raya, pas2 kalo sedey plak sebab ramadhan akan meninggalkan kita..mungkin kita senang ja ckap yang tahun depan bole posa ag, tapi kita tak tau sama ada kita sempat hidup atau tidak untuk berpuasa di bulan ramadhan tahun depan...hum,,,entah la...tahun ini aku buat keputusan for not to buy baju melayu. the reason is because i still can use the old one..yg tahun lepas pon cantik ag,,membazir je nak beli yang baru...aku teringat orang yang x mampu nak beli baju baru untuk raya..kesian diorang kan..especially kanak-kanak la...sedey sangat..

last 2 days aku pg beli barang kat kedai borong sakan...untuk information korg, kedai borong sakan ni tempat orang jual barang murah2 ja..semua benda ada..baju ka, barang dapur ka, senag2 semua ada la...sebenarnya aku ni dah bertahun2 x masuk n beli barang kat borong sakan ni..hari 2 aku masuk ja dalam kedai borong sakan 2, aku teringat balik memori lama...dulu family agak susah dulu...since semua orang masih lagi belajar, so mak bapak aku bekerja hard sikit nak dapatkan duit..tapi keluarga aku x la susah sangat..mcm cukup2 makan ja...dulu aku n mak aku selalu pg beli barang kat kedai2 murah2 ja..beli baju pon kat tempat2 yang murah2 ja...mcm borong sakan 2, bila aku tgok makcik2 yang nampak macam daif tengah dok pilih2 baju, aku teringat aku dulu2...huhu..sedey...kini aku sedar yang kita kena bersyukur dengan apan yang kita ada..

walaupun kini, aku agak senang dan berkemampuan namun x la mewah, aku masih lagi teringat dulu2 waktu keluarga aku susah dulu..hum...sedey..aku sedey tgok keluarga2 yang susah..kesian diorang...hum...

so raya tahun ni aku x naka beli baju melayu yg baru..just guna je lah apa yang ada..

helo kekawan...lama x update b;og ni...hari ni aku makan banyak gila sebab lauk banyak yang aku kena makan.kalo x makan nnt mak aku kecik hati plak...hehehhe...

hari ni mak aku masak ketam masak cili, ikan terubuk bakar,ikan bawal bakar, sambal ikan mamu...huh,,,m sambal belacan..pas2 aku n kakak aku g beli lagi ayam bakar, ikan bakar(gigih kan, dah ada dah), kerabu perut, kerabu taugeh, sambal petai n udang....huh...banyaknya...kalo diikutkan semalam lagi banyak gila oot...selautan laut didepan aku..huhu..banyak2 pon membazir je nanti...

pas makan ja, aku dah start sakit perut...pas 2 g tandas..huh...sakitnya perut aku..aku rasa aku sakit perut disebabkan oleh kerabu taugeh yang kak aku beli..rasanya dah basi wak 2 aku makan tadi..sampai sekarang aku masih sakit perut lagi kan,,geram aku..

sekarang ni rasa perut memulas n loya mcm nak muntah ja....huhhhuhu..

esok x nak sahur la..malas nak makan banyak2...nnt bertmanbah la aku ni..asyik makan ja...ok la kekawan..nnt kalo ada masa aku akan update lagi cerita ok..mis all of u..

hari ni aku buka puasa dengan erin n fifi...since tinggal diorang dua orang je kat umah, so aku pon temankanlah diorang berbuka puasa...mula2 kitorang g bazaar ramadhan sama2,pas2 makan kat umah erin...aku makan nasi ayam(nasi tambah),kuih, n air tebu..erin makan nasi tomato,kuih n air ape ntah..fifi plak cuti kan...tapi aku rasa dia la yang makan paling banyak sekali kot...hehehe..sory fifi....
