Showstudio Presents The Left Eye by Lady Gaga
SHOWstudio: The Fashion Body - Left Eye from SHOWstudio on Vimeo.
SHOWstudio has just released a brand new mini-film called “The Left Eye”, directed by Lady Gaga and Nick Knight. Watch the video using the player above!
Fashion is very good at providing its own fashion’s-eye view of proceedings, but what is it like being at the very eye of that fashion storm, the undeniable focus of the world’s attention? Few creatives are as well-placed as Lady Gaga to explore those ideas, as her inimitable and unique contribution to our Fashion Body proves. Christopher Isherwood’s maxim ‘I am a Camera’ has seldom had such eloquent aesthetic expression as this film devised in collaboration with Nick Knight and Ruth Hogben – in creating a film to represent the left eye, Lady Gaga chose not to document the eye, but offer us a glimpse from within, a cinematic snapshot that unquestionably offers her own point of view on – and of – our modern culture of celebrity. – SHOWstudio
Lady Gaga recorded the film when arriving at her hotel in London on February 27th, 2010.

Lady Gaga Premieres New Song in St. Paul
Lady Gaga played a new song called “Living On The Radio” during the “Monster Ball” show in St. Paul, Minnesota on Monday night! Watch the video using the player above!
Lyrics:
I’ve got no friends
I’m my own queen
But I’m living on, living on the the radio
That’s my dream
Stone river eyes
And a lonely heart
If I’m living on the radio
They won’t tear me apart
10 steps and roses on the tree
10 steps and lonely nights
But you’ve still got me
On the road
Road paved in gold
Baby you must believe
Baby you must be free
Keep living on, living on the radio
That’s my dream
Baby you’ve gotta friend
And so many little monsters, yeah
Keep living on, living on the radio
That’s your dream
And when there’s nowhere to go
And your friends are gone
And you only got your daddy to call
It will be all right, honey
‘Cause your songs are on the radio
‘Cause the showbiz, all the caviar
The champagne and the sold out shows
But it will be all right honey
‘Cause your songs are on the radio

The rumors are true: Overlook Press is publishing the first biography of the world’s favorite pop star. The press release says:
“Underneath the oversized blonde hair bow, glittering lightning bolt, and impossible fashion is an Upper East Side girl with a downtown attitude; a Tisch drop-out, a #1 hit-maker, an outcast, a muse, a daughter and friend. Welcome to the sequined world of Lady Gaga.
“In Lady Gaga: Behind the Fame biographer Emily Herbert introduces 23 year old Stefani Germanotta. A Catholic school girl turned go-go dancer, Gaga rose out of the Lower East Side club scene to reign supreme in the pop world.
“In under a year she became the only performing artist to have four #1 singles from the same album and sold over 8 million records worldwide, proving to be the biggest pop sensation of the new decade.
“Not everyone gets her art and music, but she has become a fashion icon and an role model in the gay community. Among her biggest supporters are designer Alexander McQueen, Beyonce, and Ellen DeGeneres.
“An inspiring story as well as commentary on today’s celebrity and fame-obsessed culture, Lady Gaga: Behind the Fame is a well-researched, intimate look into the music, fashion, art, and life of the first Lady of pop.”
The Overlook Press will release Lady Gaga: Behind the Fame on March 2, 2010.

Lady Gaga has thanked fans around the world after they helped her raise more than $500,000 for earthquake-ravaged Haiti – in a single day!
The singer dedicated 24 January to raising funds for the Caribbean country, pledging to donate proceeds from a New York concert and merchandise sold on her website.
And at her concert on Tuesday at Purdue University, where she concluded the U.S. leg of her Monster Ball Tour, Lady Gaga announced the results of her fans’ donations. She told the audience:
“On Gaga For Haiti day, in just 24 hours, with very minimal marketing and planning, all the little monsters all over the world made over half a million dollars for Haiti relief. I know Bravado fell off their chair, that’s who sells all my merchandise – they couldn’t believe it! So let’s sing along for Haiti right now!”
